Preaching In New York City

NEW YORK, Oct 16 (VNN) — Dear Vaisnavas and friends of Krsna,
There are some wonderful opportunities for various activities in a Vedic Cultural Center being created in New York City, NY (in the East Village).
This is the building that hosts The Sanctuary Restaurant and there is a Sri Sri Radha Murlidhara temple on the second floor. The current devotee managers of this building are inviting Vaisnavas to consider becoming involved in the following types of activities:
- Yoga (manager / teacher)
- Health, healing and wellness (an MD is required for certain areas)
- Counseling
- Vastu Sastri
- Manager/coordinator for Seminars
- Catering/Restaurant (various posts)
- Neighborhood Community Services
The arrangements that are available require a lease commitment and a spirit of cooperation to work with other Vaisnavas to create a very wonderful preaching tool that is first-class and caters to the middle & upper class Americans (New Yorkers).
The building site has a number of floor spaces. The spaces average about 1000 square feet (per space), two spaces per floor.
The rents average around $4000 per space (approximately 1000 square feet) which does not include electricity, heat or insurance (required). There is a possibility of dividing a space in two so that the square footage and rent would be cut in half.
New York is where Srila Prabhupada started. We have an awesome chance to create and develop a presentation of Krsna Consciousnes in a revolutionary way.
