Prabhupada's Temple Needs Help

 MOLDOVA, Aug 29 (VNN) — With these words I am again broadcasting the message to the worldwide community of devotees. Several months ago I posted a plea for help from the Moldovan devotees and with great enthusiasm many devotees came forward and donated what they could. We recieved $10 dollar donations, $20 dollar donations, $50 dollar donations, $500 dollar donations and one $8000.00 dollar donation. To all those devotees who donated their hard earned cash I say thank you. From all the devotees in Moldova they say thank you. I have adopted the role of spokesman for the Moldovan community. They are working very, very hard to complete Srila Prabhupada's newest temple in Eastern Europe! And as many of you older Prabhupada disciples remember, it gave Srila Prabhupada much pleasure to hear of the preaching in Eastern European communist countries.
Recently in Moldova the Temple project was under serious threat from a lawsuit by an envious neighbor. The complaint was the building casted a shadow upon his property! Can you believe this? Because of this envious neighbor temple construction stopped and great trouble began with the Government. A lawsuit was filed and for some weeks all progress was stopped and money was drained from the construction fund for legal help. Maya Strikes!
As of today August 2nd, the court case was won, the Government has approved finishing the construction however, as you see from the letter above, "Our bank account is empty"
Srila Prabhupada's stalwart disciple and leader of the Moldovan community, Srila Niranjana Maharaja, recently visited the construction site and has given great encouragement to the devotees. As you can see from the pictures much progress has been made. The problem is the lawsuit has drained crucial building funds. At this time it is my duty to again ask the worldwide community for assistance. We have estimated approximately $7500.00 will complete the temple outter walls and add windows, roofing, plumbing, kitchen, deity altar, doors and flooring. I have already purchased a full sized Prabhupada Murti from Locana prabhu and will be sending Srila Prabhupada via Ship to Moldova (Again Srila Prabhupada crosses the Atlantic Ki Jaya!)
In the core of my heart I feel this project is very dear to Srila Prabhupada. I have been to Moldova and I saw the great need for preaching there. That is why I have adopted this project as my own and will continue to help the Moldovan devotees in any way I can. I cannot think of a more blissful project then building Srila Prabhupada a new temple in a land of non-devotees. Send a donation and you will get a taste for spreading Krishna consciousness, it is sweet indeed!
