EDITORIAL February 23, 1999 VNN3137 Jailed For Conspiracy BY ARIJIT DASA EDITORIAL, Feb 23 (VNN) — The pure soul has now become aware of the conspiracy that has been launched against him. The aim of this conspiracy is to create dissension amongst his so-called loved ones, embarrass him as well as to entrap him in all kinds of activities that will ultimately be used against him in a court of law. This will then lead to his detention and his chance of parole is practically nonexistent. There is however a good possibility that he will be bound hand and foot and in the end he will have nothing except old age, disease, and finally death. Death however is not the end because the Soul is eternal and does not perish with the demise of the gross body. The gross body is made of the five gross elements, earth, water, fire, air and either and will return to their original condition. The mind and the false identity (False Ego) continue to exist and remain in the vicinity of the body for some time then go to another geographical location within our universe. In the subtle form of mind and ego (false ego) he associates with the superintendent in charge of persons whose gross bodies have recently expired he is known as Yamaraja and his secretary is named Chandragupta has kept an excellent record of all the souls actions. After reviewing these records and consulting with Yamaraja Chandragupta then leads the criminal to his future prison cell. (Geographical Destination) The record of the living being remains with Chandragupta and he updates it at every moment. The living being may appear some where in the universe as a demigod or as a stool-eating maggot but when that body expires he must again go to Yama's court. So the death of the gross body does not necessarily mean freedom or bondage. The conspiracy to bind the pure soul was set into motion by none other than himself. As soon as he lost sight of his own true self interest he became entangled and he forgot how to stop it. The more he struggled the more he became overwhelmed and this brought him to the point of madness. He then began to seek some self improvement by way of exercise, heaIthfoods, astrology, music, so called higher education, wife, children, bank balance, good standing in a society or club. On and on did he look for happiness, but he still would not be satisfied. He continued in this way for a very long time then as if a miracle had happened he heard from the lips of a saint, something that gave him a new type of encouragement and a feeling of hope. He slowly began to identify the other accomplices who were involved and who would constantly reproach his good intelligence and influence him in such a way that he would act as if only to satisfy them, being forced to tolerate their abuse. The pure soul having been personally present when the sage was revealing knowledge previously unknown could now proceed with confidence. His first task was to remain steady in that conviction and pursue his objective with out fail. His former allies ( lust, anger, greed, malice, envy, false pride etc.) will know doubt try to persuade him to give up his attempt. By constantly keeping his real self interest in mind however, he can see things in a different light by giving up the association of his former accomplices he can now see clearly how they are actually his enemies and do not care for him in the least. Those beasts will not give up easily; they are now in full swing and are determined to keep the pure soul bound hand and foot. The pure soul can appreciate their extreme power and is beginning to see their influence at every turn. When he opens a magazine or looks at a billboard or even reads a book, watches the television, movies, every where are their influence. When he tries to explain to his cell-mates about the possibility of parole or a better way of life where there is no birth, death, old age or disease they look at him as if he has lost his marbles. When he is in need of some "rest" because of working so very hard in the prison, the guards yell abusive remarks at him as if he were animal. When he sees his wife and children they tell him that unless there is more money they will go there separate ways and find someone else. When the politicians here him speak they say that there is no place in society for such talk unless you have a lot of money or a big following of voters who can support their legislation. Then they will tolerate "unwillingly". The pure soul knows that he will need support from someone whose power is greater then that of his former chums. He must find that association and remain dedicated to his real self-interest, he must always remain introspective then and only then will gain that good wholesome association. By that association his real life will be given back and as a by product he will be released from the jailhouse After being released from that lower living environment ones intelligence will become broad, sharp and clear, filled with warmth and happiness just the opposite of the jailhouse consciousness which is full of a negative depressing type of energy. At this time even if in a material body one will feel love, trust, warmth, happiness and encouragement when associating with saintly persons. The pure soul will feel himself at this point thankful to such a saintly person and will then be motivated toward some type of service not repayment exactly but some thing like gratitude. Service motivated by love and trust. "LOVING DEVOTIONAL SERVICE" After his release from the prison the soul must continue to search for reality. At this time he may not even have a clue as to what that may be but none the less he feels within himself that the search must continue. As he progresses he feels more and more enthusiastic in a subtle way to continue hearing from the sage or sages. The sage seeing the perseverance, enthusiasm and loving devotion of this student gives him more and more realization and by this process the pure soul gradually will become qualified to enter a plane of consciousness where no one except those who are totally free from exploitation can remain. When the pure soul becomes totally freed from the duality's that effect all souls either in the prison or those that have been temporarily liberated from the prison and responds only to loving spontaneous devotion can he expect to have a vision of that supreme absolute truth. This spontaneous loving devotion is the only method of getting a permanent pardon from the prison, other methods may result in the re-entree of the soul to captivity. A life of hard labor. As one engages in devotional service from the heart with love and enthusiasm he will progress further to the point where he will have no doubts, at this point" Vasudev Consciousness" will develop. He will realize Vasudev everywhere. Then after some time the pure soul will be allowed by the sage entrance to an even higher plane of consciousness where he may be personally introduced to other pure souls living in that plane of existence. At that time the pure soul will be trained as to how to render direct devotional service to the supreme truth. His pure and natural curiosity will lead him toward a transcendental geographical environment filled with unlimited variety. The residents of that plane all have pure spiritual bodies some male and some female there are unlimited varieties of birds, deer, peacocks, cows etc. The trees are desire trees or trees that produce any type of fruit. The buildings are all made of touch stone and the nucleus of this particular plane of existence is known as Govinda the original cause of all causes whose form of eternity bliss and knowledge is all attractive. When the pure soul sees Govinda after his separation he will feel as if all his desires have been fulfilled The sage being very happy and proud of his student will then begin a more advanced stage of education which will deal with the details of rendering service in a particular fashion in association with chums of the same disposition. After having once entered the transcendental abode of Sri Govinda (KRSNA) one can rest assured that he will never return to the abodes of birth death old age and disease he will in retrospect look upon the experience as a fleeting thought that has no substantiality or something extremely foreign and undesirable. After being freed from the prison his new life is filled with knowledge, unlimited happiness (bliss) and eternity. His personality is similar to that of the Sage in as much as you will not find any of the negative qualities (lust, anger, greed, envy, fault finding etc.) as was experienced in the prison house. His personality will be surcharged with the positive spiritual power a power imbued with love, devotion and trust.
