Hair Tests To Disprove Poison Theory

BY YUDHISTHIR DAS

EDITORIAL, Oct 11 (VNN) — Dear Prabhus, Maharajas, and others: PAMHO All Glories to Srila Prabhupada.

For several years now the definitive proof that Srila Prabhupada was NOT poisoned has been within easy reach but has not yet been taken advantage of. A simple but highly reliable scientific testing method that has been in use for decades can ascertain whether a hair sample contains any toxic elements or not. This method is widely used by law enforcement and is legally valid evidence.

Books have been written on the subject of Srila Prabhupada's ostensible poisoning, debating details, coincidences, and speculations, but a few tests of His Divine Grace's 1977 hair will settle the matter once and for all. Bas, no more debate or doubts.

This disturbing theory can be put to rest for the sake of Srila Prabhupada's worldwide preaching movement. A proper laboratory that will perform these hair tests has been found through a contact at the Environmental Protection Agency in Washington, DC. Our contact has kindly arranged for these tests at a reasonable cost (which have already been paid in advance). Up to 8 different samples can be tested at once for the same cost as one.

Hari Sauri Prabhu has already assisted in this attempt by locating and providing one hair sample from 1977, the year of the alleged poisoning. Now we need to locate a few more hair samples to include with our scheduled test program through the EPA.

Does anyone out there have any of Srila Prabhupada's hair that could be made available for settling and disproving this most disturbing theory? History should clearly record the truth of this matter!

If your Srila Prabhupada hair sample is from 1977 (or even if it is perhaps from 1977, if you are not sure of the dating), please consider helping with this overdue course of action. Only those samples that are known to be pre-1977 would not be useful.

Only a very, very small amount of hair is required, namely about 20 pieces of hair (that are usually about a half inch long or so).

The hair will not be destroyed in the test, and can be returned after the test.

Fedex shipping costs will be pre-paid; there is no expense for you. If you can help in this regard, please write to acbhaktivedanta@yahoo.com.

Although the ISKCON GBC have decided after their investigations into Srila Prabhupada's alleged poisoning that there is no evidence to support such a theory, from my own experience there are still many sincere devotees who would like the matter settled SCIENTIFICALLY through forensic methods. That would calm everyone's minds and doubts once and for all, and be THE single and unrefutable proof that it did NOT happen.

The GBC wanted to test Srila Prabhupada's 1977 hair but could not do so because the labs they found were charging too much or were unable to do the test. We can complete these tests now because Krishna has recently provided an arrangement at a fraction of the previous costs (due to connections at the EPA).

Hare Krishna.

Your servant,
Yudhisthir das
