The Life Of A Pure Vaisnava

SUBMITTED BY RADHAKANTI DASI
EDITORIAL, May 14 (VNN) Letter to Srila Bhaktivedanta Narayana Goswami Maharaja dated 5/10/02.
Dear Srila Gurudeva, please accept my prostrated dandavats and my loving embrace. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. All glories to Sri Sri Radha Vinode Bihari.
I am happy to see that you have become the most prominent preacher worldwide. I wanted this. Even though there may not be so many facilities like others have. I know that all are reading your books and lectures on the Internet, Iskcon, gurus and leaders. So your preaching is very successful.
When you first came to my house in Miami in 1999. I knew immediately that you were the 'self-effulgent acarya' that my gurudev Srila Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada had spoken about and I told the devotees back then like this.
After living the exemplary life of a pure vaisnava for almost a century, at the age of 81, you are now tireless travelling non-stop around the world, in the footsteps of Srila Prabhupada, touching the dust of the tirthas he had touched, speaking 24 hours Hari-katha wherever you go, translating so many books. You stop only in India to lead hundreds of devotees on Vraja Manadala Parikrama and tens of thousands on Navadvipa parikrama, as you have done for so many decades. No ordinary person can do like this.
Therefore today a countless number of most sincere godbrothers worldwide have accepted you as siksa guru, seeing their spiritual master's mercy manifest once again.
Now I am so happy that the whole world is blessed by your association and mercy. I am happy for them.
But I am so unfortunate that I cannot be with you. It must be due the countless sinful actions that I have committed in the past that I cannot have this priceless gift of your association.
I wanted so much to come to Hawaii, but I did not want to disturb you in your rest and translating work.
So this year I want to change this. By the will of providence my wife's visa is expiring and, due to current circumstances, it is difficult to extend. So by the end of this year we are planning to relocate to her home country.
With this arrangement we will be able to reduce our business involvement and spend more time with you attending Kartik and Navadvipa parikrama in India. We also have a small room in Vrindavan, so we want to spend some time there with you and some time in the West doing our work and some time travelling.
Niscintya prabhu was kind enough to send us a big shipment of all your available books. We just received it yesterday and the same day we had a program at my house and sold 15% of all the books, along with Srila Prabhupada's original Bhagavad-gita, which was in great demand.
There are so many things to tell so I am looking forward to see you in Badger, where we can discuss more.
your servant in love Krparama das
