A Plea For Help

BY DAMODARI DASI

EDITORIAL, Jan 22 (VNN) — Vancha kalpa tarubyas ca Krapa-sindhubhya eva ca patitanam pavanebhy vaisnavebhyo namo namah

I offer pranamas unto the vaisnavas who are just like desire trees, who are an ocean of mercy, and who deliver the fallen, conditioned souls.

I approach this world-wide forum of vaisnavas to deliver an urgent message, a plea for help. In my travels, I mat a very sweet, sincere devotee. He is a devout grhasta who lives a simple, austere life in California, with his family. He has come a long way, from Europe, to practice Krsna consciousness in the west. Unfortunately, his status is not sufficient for him to seek adequate employment.

This grhasta devotee with simple needs has chosen the most simple, jet most potent material vocation. He is a healer. He heals through the use of plants which he collects from exotic locales, and his knowledge of functional Ayurveda is impeccable. His treatments include incurable degenerative diseases, and other common conditions. This is his seva to all vaisnavas who are in need.

For some time, he has traveled with Srila Bhaktivedanta Narayan Maharaj, and often journeys to the tour destinations with his entire family in his aging compact car. During the off-season of the tour, he continues to travel to aid any devotees in need of healing.

It is essential that he acquire a vehicle sufficient for him and his family. He must raise $3,000 to accomplish this, and to continue in his work, seva and spiritual life. This devotee who has found perfect harmony with his spiritual life and still manages to do sufficient service for the vaisnavas. For any devotees who are blessed this even a tiny excess of Krsna's external energy in the form of laksmi. Please send donations, however small, to:
