EDITORIAL, Sep 18 (VNN) An open letter To Sripad Bhakti Vikash Swami and To all who care for the missions of Srila Prabhupada
Dandavat Pranams,
I was very happy to read your reflections on the current situation in Iskcon. I know that you are one of the persons who have defended Iskcon's GBC and their policies even to the point of offending others who did criticize them before. It feels good to read that your gentle soul now agrees that there are serious wrongs done by the GBC members.
We shall all create a network of those who still want to follow the pure teachings of Srila Prabhupada and other Gaudiya Acaryas.
Everything Krishna does is perfect. Is there any inspiration on your side to do something to correct the situation in our beloved spiritual fathers mission? The situation of the divided mission under attack from all sides looks quite hopeless with a group of leaders who cannot even recognize their blunders.
But there is still a solution by my humble opinion. What is that solution? Understanding and working with the World Vaisnava Association. WVA-VVRS.org. Even those who act as Gurus can fall down. Entire Vaisnava missions can enter into disgrace etc. But the spirit of Gaudiya Vaisnavism will never be defeated. The substance lives in all sincere followers of this line. This is the only way and understanding coming down from the six Goswamis of Vrindavan which can remain victorious in the face of all those scandals and personal failures of prominent figures.
We shall all create a network of those who still want to follow the pure teachings of Srila Prabhupada and other Gaudiya Acaryas. Our unity will be interesting. The failures of any individual or missions is not very interesting except for those who personally suffered from it. And even they are better off getting some real Sadhu sanga instead of dwelling on the foolishness of other neophytes.
Let us do something positive now. Everything else is just waste of more time. Act now and see the difference. The next meeting of the WVA will be in Vrindavan on the last Ekadasi of Kartika in the Sri Chaitanya Gaudiya Math on the Mathura road.
