EDITORIAL July 31, 2000 VNN6115 Comment on this story To All Who Care For Spiritual Integrity BY SWAMI B.A. PARAMADVAITI  EDITORIAL, Jul 31 (VNN) — An open letter to Bhagavan das and to all who care for spiritual integrity and Srila Prabhupada.Dear Bhagavan Prabhu, Dandavat Pranams. I red your letter of apology. It is nice that you come out in the public and apologize for so many mistakes you made. But as an old godbrother, acquaintance and well-wisher of yours I want to give you some important observations. You still have a very despotic approach towards those who have put your name on the list of responsible people for childabuse in Iskcon. Even if they make any mistake by attacking you. It is this despotic attitude that has always been the trade mark of Iskcon Guru and GBS behavior. What is the use to apologize if you in the same paper return to those tactics. Due to the big Ego and never taking a humble position all has been ruined in Iskcon because the warnings came from so many sides for so many years. It is truly sad that Iskcon leaders now have to answer the mundane judges since they never wanted even to answer any of their Godbrothers with their well intentioned critique and complaints. And this is only the minor mistakes you make. Much more alarming is the fact that you do not recognize the terrible offenses you made against all the devotees of Lord Chaitanya who were not in Iskcon. Considering your apologies, anybody who had to live through these Guru times of yours would have done the best by saving himself and running towards a true Vaisnava Acaryas for shelter. And some did precisely that. And you condemned them and their new shelter on many occasions. Now, that you finally admit your faults you should also thank those who helped save some of your disciples and simultaneously show that taking shelter of a real Sadhu is the only right think To do when your initiating Guru is drifting away. And that Sadhu most likely was not and is not to be found in Iskcon. Why? Because they still commit the same blunder which was your greatest offense and prime reason for returning to ordinary sensegratification life. To offend all other Vaisnavas outside Iskcon including some important pure devotees such as Srila B.R. Sridhar Maharaj. You have no word for that which makes me suspect you really do not know what really happened to you. That is very sad. Even advanced devotees can fall down if they offend pure Vaisnavas. We have seen it clearly. Offenders of Vaisnavas, even while serving as Gurus will fall down. Entire Vaisnava missions can enter into disgraceful this shows that we need to focus on the substance and not so much on the external apexes of the institutions. We should all work together with true humility so that every soul may find shelter of the feet of a real Vaisnava. Everything else is cheating. But how will you be forgiven for offending Vaisnavas who do not even live any more? You will have to publish and distribute their teachings for a long time to counteract those many misbehaviors of yours. I wish you well. Yours in the service of Srila Prabhupada Swami B. A.
