We want love of God very cheaply, while still holding on so tightly, to so many misconceptions. Ha! Ludicrous! Rather, all of these topics must eventually be discussed thoroughly by every serious student of bhaktiyoga. Srila B.R. Cc Adi 8.16 And in Cc Madhya 17.129-34, Krsnadas Kaviraj quotes Mahaprabhu's statements to the brahmana who just returned from Prakasananda Sarasvati's sanga. ataeva tara mukha na aisa Krsna-nama Krsna-nama, Krsna svarup --duita samana "Krsna's Holy Name is not manifest in mayavadi's mouths because they are offenders unto Krsna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead who is identical with His Holy Name." The condition soul identifies himself with worldly groups & bodily designations, thinking them to be separate from God, Krsna. I do believe that every sincere devotee, given time, has the potential to see through the veneer of any & all mayavadi propaganda & to grasp the gist of all these contraversial subjects. Please consider how these things can be presented without (or with) flipping out half the devotee community & drawing CIA attention. I can take the heat. If it's dry heat, it may cure my arthritis! "The Good War". The OFFICIAL American version,of course, differs rather dramatically from the Soviet Union's OFFICIAL party-line on their " Great Patriotic War " [ eg: They actually taught in the old Soviet school system to all of the Soviet children that Hitler did not want to "exterminate" only Jews - BUT EVERY SINGLE SLAVIC HUMAN BEING ON THE FACE OF THE WHOLE EARTH !!!!!!!!!! THAT was the official Soviet teaching. It would have included all of Germany's slavic allies like the Croatioan facists, the Romanians under Antonescu, the Slovenian facists, the Slovakians under Father Tiso, etc. Yet nevertheless this flagrant and obvious absurdity was OFFICIALLY taught ( among many other such things ! ) in the whole Soviet school system back in the Fifties, Sixties, Seventies,etc. I really don't suppose I would need to elaborate on this farce any further here. So - realizing that the official Soviet version of their "Great Patriotic War" differed quite substantially from the official version of ' The Good War ' taught here in da good ol ' US of A. , I couldn't help but wonder and question whether or not this American version of events was likewise the subject of official "spin - doctoring " and Propaganda . Back then, I originally had absolutely no idea of HOW BAD and of HOW COLLASSALLY this "spin - doctoring" had gone on! That is why I shouldn't be too hard on you or your friend --- for, you see, I myself likewise used to believe in the official American and British (as well as "United Nations") versions of the "Good War" - just like my Jewish girlfriend Marina actually had believed all of the flagrant bullshit that they had pumped into her relatively innocent head back in her days as a "Red Star" honors student in the good ol ' US of SR ! One of the things that occurred around this time is that, while rummaging around in a bookstore on Fifth Ave., I ran across a book (by a Jewish author) on the Tokyo War Crimes trials that were staged in defeated Japan after the "Second" world war. [Which, BTW, was actually the FIFTH global, world-wide war fought since the year 1756 A.D. - (the beginning of the " Seven Years War") - to tell you the truth --- So, my point is - that EVEN the name is a LIE ! BTW,BTW - the British Empire was in ALL Five of ' em, Germany was in only the two of our Century - which was REALLY one continuous " Thirty Years War " from 1914 -to- 1944/5!] So I read about the TOKYO [sic] "War Crimes Trials" back around 1987. Prior to that time I hadn't even known that there were such things that had gone on in occupied Japan --- let alone that "the Japs" had been accused of EVEN worse "atrocities" than the defeated Germans back at THAT time !! [eg the "japs" were formally accused of killing - not "6" million - of THEIR prisoners - but " 10 million " ! [sic] ! ! !] They were also accused of "wierd science " type of medical experiments, turning prisoners into soap, etc. - they one and the only thing that it formally lacked as compared to its Western counterpart in Nuremberg [ QUESTION: WHY did the Allies stage their "war crimes trials" in the old German city of The Meistersangers, Nuremberg ! - rather than the Occupied - by - All - Four - Conquering Powers, the CAPITAL, Berlin --- as the ones in Japan were staged in the Japaneese CAPITAL of Tokyo (and not in one of their Shinto, nationalist religious or spiritual, or Folklore-ish Centers !) - rather than in "the most truly German of all of Germany's cities", Nuremberg --- WHY was that decision made ?] the one and the ONLY charge that differed in the Japaneese case was the one and the only issue of GASSING ! EVERYTHING else that they accused the Germans of - they had also accused the "japs" of also BACK AT THAT TIME ! - with the one exception of having employed "gassing" as a means of mass-excution. But everything else that they had laid on "the Nazis" they had also laid on "the Japs" - back at THAT time - interestingly enough! THAT WAS ONE OF MY VERY FIRST REVELATIONS - learning about those post - war TOKYO war crimes show "trials" and all of the (now recognized RETROACTIVELY as being 'obviously' absurd!) ridiculous "charges" that had been brought against the Japaneese - formally (and quite "seriously" back then) - as well as against the Germans. I couldn't help but also notice how - so many years after the war - all of the DETAILS to those TOKYO war crimes show "trials " are more or less nothing but an EMBARASSMENT now to American historians!
