Balavanta's Report Needs To Become Public
BY MAHABUDDI DAS
EDITORIAL, Feb 27 (VNN) In fact, we as devotee's collectively should demand that Balavanta's report become public!! Why after two years in the making it is still hush hush and the "only" ISKCON report made public will be the GBC's spin machine's "Powerpoint Purana"? Nityananda's report is there for all to see (agree or not to agree with).
The "OFFICIAL GBC Poison Investigation" was supposed to be Balavanta's report. What happened? To date no forensic evidence has refuted Nityananda's book. So, instead of finalizing this Poisoning of Srila Prabhupada issue it has doubled its credibility by the mishandling of the comic GBC leadership in Mayapura | |
So,the "committee to save ISKCON" needed to step in just in case, Balavanta's investigation proved, that more research needed to be done and the suspected GBC (a.k.a. TKG, BCS, and company) were not fully vindicated. As was the case. This political ****, will not suffice any intelligent devotee. It is partisan politics only! Why did not the GBC give Nityananda and others the opportunity to present their case?
Because it was already decided what the outcome would be! So, instead of finalizing this Poisoning of Srila Prabhupada issue it has doubled its credibility by the mishandling of the comic GBC leadership in Mayapura. Instead of giving funds to Balavanta or Nityananda's research, they shot in the back their own "confidential investigator's" report and produced the old "bate and switch" con game on everyone and crissoned the "Powerpoint Purana" as authoritative.
I am sorry boys, but this just doesn't cut it. But Puru is right, what can we possibly have expected from the "Good Old Boys club"? CHAKRA is even more amusing, they produced the "Poison CD rebuttal" on their web site. Unfortunately, the so-called CD apparently was stolen by someone who calls himself "Pooriepada" and sold to Harikesh and the GBC. The CD never came out, no-one every heard it and to the amusement of all CHAKRA prints their rebuttal to the CD that never was, except supposedly hidden away in the GBC's "X Files"
The physician's reports captured by the "committee to save ISKCON", on Srila Prabhupada's illness, was at best partial. WE did not publicly debate them at that time, as the investigation was still ongoing. But, now everything and every issue can be "publicly addressed". They tried to explain that Srila Prabhupada was suffering from Dropsy and Diabetes and that was the cause of his leaving. The medical reports (destroyed by the hospital), and verbally given to us by Tamal Krsna's disciple report, stated that the operating physician in England stated that all he could concur was the above diagnosis. We have no problem with his conclusion in that he (the physician) only did a pre operative standard lab testing as is the protocol for most hospitals on Srila Prabhupada. Not a full work up including any toxicological testing, as he would not be looking for that for his operative procedure being done on Srila Prabhupada. Had he done one, then this issue would be resolved one way or the other.
There is no disagreement in that Srila Prabhupada suffered from Diabetes, renal disease and dropsy, but no case has been presented by "the committee" that discredits that Srila Prabhupada may have had the co-morbidity of complications presented by periodic poisoning. Or, that poisoning was not started until after SP visit to England. Either scenario, is not defeated by existing presentations in the "PowerPoint Purana". In fact, TKG's disciple a Bachelor of Science Degree holder, goes on to postulate that the effects of Arsenic could not be detected in Srila Prabhupada, due to his ayurvedic understanding. Wherein, in Nityananda's book the leading expert in Arsenic poisoning in the USA (a Ph.D., M.D. by the way), a Medical forensics examiner, in North Carolina, testifies that viewing the symptoms present in Srila Prabhupada he concurred that Arsenic poisoning could very well been present in Srila Prabhupada and combined work to his worsening condition. But, no we are to take the opinion of TKG's disciple as truth?? Because the GBC said so!
It is time to wake up. Balavanta's report needs to become public!!! That's it. Lets see it. OK GBC Men, of great character, lets produce it for PUBLIC DISTRIBUTION amongst the devotees.
