CALENDAR  Srila BB Bodhayan Maharaj In Alachua BY YASODA DASI  CALENDAR, Sep 16 (VNN) — Dandavats to all vaisinavas.I feel honored to be hosting Srila Bodhayan Maharaj in my house from Sept 16/01 to Sept 23/01. I humbly would like to introduce him to the western vaisinava community. Maharaj was born into a vaisnava family in a small village near Calcutta. His grandfather was initiated by Srila Bhaktisidhanta Saravasti Thakur. He made his house as a home for all his god brothers that would come and preach. One of them became a special well wisher of everyone in the house. That sannyasi would come in and stay sometimes ten days with them. He became a priest for that family especially after Srila Bhaksiddanta Saravasti's departure. That sannyasi made all the ceremonies for the family. This loving and caring sannyasi took care of the whole family of almost one hundred members. His name is Srila Bhakti Promode Puri Goswami Maharaj who physically left this planet Nov 22/1999 at the age of 102. Srila Bhakti B.Bodhayan Maharaj has the association of HDG Srila Bhakti Promode Puri Goswami since he was a little baby. In his young age he joined HDG becoming a initiated disciple. He has helped our Guru Maharaj in every respect. We are extremely thankful to him for his sincere service and specially for his humble and austere, qualities that become more and more difficult to find. I'm specially honored to have him here and my house is open to all of you who want to come for his sweet Krshna Kata.
