About the Author:
I heard about Krsna Consciousness through my older sister, when I was 12 years old. We ran away from home a few times to stay in the Boston temple, but had to go back to our "so-called" home, until I was 14. Then I moved in full time, going to a school around the corner from the Commonwealth Ave temple for about a year and a half. I saw Srila Prabhupada in New York, at Rathayatra, don't remember which year, sometime between '73 and '75. He looked right into my eyes. Also, a second time I had his darshan, when I went, with a group of other devotees, up to N.Y. from Boston; had my second initiation at that time. I remember him saying, "Don't be duratma, cripple minded, be mahatma, broad minded". I married at age 20, a wonderful Vaisnava named Ramachandra Dasa, we are still here praying hard for the Lord's causeless mercy, and the mercy of the Vaisnavas, after almost 20 years.
