His Holiness Bhaktivedanta Tirtha Maharaja Born in West Bengal, on the banks of the Ganges, near Calcutta, Bhaktivedanta Tirtha Maharaja has been a devotee of Sri Sri Radha Krsna his entire life. His family members were all devotees. From a very early age Maharaja was very serious about devotional practices. By the age of seven years he had fully read and was able to recite much of the Ramayana and Mahabharata.

At this very young age, when most boys his age were playing games, Maharaja began a search for a great guru like Valmiki Muni in the Ramayana. A few years later he met his Gurupadapadma, His Divine Grace Srila Bhaktivedanta Vamana Maharaja (President Acarya of Sri Gaudiya Vedanta Samiti) and His Divine Grace Srila Bhaktivedanta Narayana Maharaja.

Maharaja has been under the tutelage and guidance of His Divine Grace Srila Bhaktivedanta Narayana Maharaja for the last 20 years. He resides at the Sri Kesavji Gaudiya Math in Mathura.

Now, under the guidance of Srila Bhaktivedanta Narayana Maharaja, Srila Tirtha Maharaja is preaching in Western countries where devotees from all over the world are benefiting from his vast practical knowledge of sastra (holy scripture), and endearing personal example of how to live a pure devotional life in the service of Sri Guru and Sri Sri Radha Krsna Conjugal.
